Grand Farewell to Deputy Secretary

    Dr RS Praveen Kumar, Secretary and the TSWREIS Head Office staff honoured Mrs. Rupa Devi, Deputy Secretary, on the occasion of her superannuation in recognition of her selfless services to the TSWREIS. The Secretary felicitated Mrs Rupa Devi in the presence of the head office employees and appreciated her for putting 31 long years of yeoman service in transforming the lives of children from the most disadvantaged sections of society.

    Zonal Level Games and Sports Meet Inaugurated

    In a glittering inaugural ceremony, fireworks, music, release of balloons and dazzling display of cultural programmes marked the inauguration of the TSWREIS Zonal Level Games and Sports Meet, 2017. 5 days of competitions will see budding sports stars from social welfare residential schools across Telangana in action in various sporting events including athletics, Kabbadi, volley-ball, handball, chess, ball badminton, Tennikoit, Chess, Carrom, Football and Kho-Kho.

    Impact programme held in TS schools

    Telangana Social Welfare Residential Schools across the State wore a festive look on Tuesday as scores of parents attended the mega event 'Impact'. At the end of the every term examination, the TSWREIS conducts meeting with the parents as they constitute important stakeholders of the Society. The Impact is conducted in every school to create awareness about the art of parenting, importance of education, students’ regular attendance at school, career opportunities, success stories of students and evils of early girl marriages among rural parents.

    Sachin - The Sailor Meets Defence Minister

    For the underprivileged children sailing remains a distant dream. But, Sachin, son of a helper, grew up with a dream of sailing despite having been born into abject poverty. As a young boy, hailing from Secunderabad town, Sachin watched sailors sailing in Hussain Sagar waters. He nurtured his dream despite the fact that he could not to afford exorbitant expenses involved with sailing. Destiny took an encouraging turn when the TSWREI Society identified his inner-calling and gave wings to his dreams.

    Swacch Vidyala Pursakar Award

    TSWRS Bellampalli (B) and Singareddy Palem have been selected for the prestigious national level Swacch Vidyalaya Pursakar Award, 2016-17. These two schools have achieved the rare feat of finding a place in the exclusive club of Swachh Vidyalayas in the country. The schools will receive certificate of appreciation and a cash award of Rs 50,000 in a programme to be held in New Delhi on September 1, 2017.

    CM Presents the Telangana Excellence Award to Dr.R.S.Praveen Kumar

    The hon'ble Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on the eve of the 71st Independence Day, presented the Telangana Excellence Award to Dr RS Praveen Kumar, Secretary, for his outstanding work in efficiently running the social welfare and the tribal welfare residential schools, and inspiring the children from the most depressed sections of the society to think big and aim high in life even in the face of abject poverty and unfavourable circumstances.

Ushering in a New Era for the Marginalized Children

Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) is running 268 residential educational institutions (from 5th standard to Undergraduate level) in the state of Telangana under the Ministry of Scheduled Caste Development, Government of Telangana. The Society has been working with the noble aim of providing quality education to the needy and deprived children on par with the other advantaged children.

The TSWREIS has been catering to the dire educational needs of the marginalized children especially Scheduled Caste (SC) children hailing from the remote rural areas of Telangana. The TSWREIS has rewritten its menu chart and is poised to provide a nutritious diet, hitherto unheard of in the annals of the government run welfare educational institutions in the country.
